SMI Graduate Meetings

Date and time: Sun, Oct 19 · 10:00 – 17:00 CET (7h) / 9 am - 4 pm UK time
About the workshop
The spiritual search often requires some effort at the start – healing psychological wounds, disciplining one’s mind and body, recognising mental, emotional and behavioural patterns that distract oneself from Being, etc. However, at a certain point, effort itself becomes the barrier. As the Buddha said, the teaching is a raft with which we cross the river; once the river is crossed, we leave the raft behind, or it will become a burden to carry. This workshop explores the shift from effort to effortlessness, from working on oneself to letting Being work through you.

Date and time: Sun, Sep 28 · 10:00 – 17:00 CET (7h) / 9 am - 4 pm UK time
About the workshop
Spiritual insights can be profound, but without embodiment, they remain abstract. In this workshop, we explore how insights gained through spiritual practices become embodied – how they live in perception, speech, relating, and routines. We explore how embodiment is both the goal and the root and how understanding this helps us cultivate a grounded presence that doesn’t disappear when life gets busy. This is a practice of integration: allowing our spiritual insights to be felt, lived, and shared.

Date and time: Sun, Aug 31 · 10:00 – 17:00 CET (7h) / 9 am - 4 pm UK time
About the workshop
The body is a powerful doorway into spiritual presence and transformation. We have all experienced the power of paying non-judgmental attention to felt sense and describing it through neutral, sensory language. However, it is often easier said than done. In this workshop, we practice the subtle skill of attending to felt sense and explore some of the main obstacles we encounter when doing so. Getting better at letting one’s awareness rest in the ever-changing felt sense is a powerful way of enhancing one’s spiritual inquiry.
